The concept of the politician in Carl Schmitt

AbstractThe objective of this paper is to present the fundamental structure of concept of the political in the context of Carl Schmitt’s theorie in Der Begriff des Politischen (1927/1932) and of dispute between realism and normativism. Therefore, I intend to show that, although strictly existential, the political realism in the schmittian theorie can reveal the structure of the modern politics and law through relation power and norms.
