The aim of this article is to propose an analysis of the thought produced by Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995) on the works of Michel Foucault (1926-1984), using as a base Deleuzian productions about the philosopher, such as articles, interviews and the book entitled “Foucault” (1986), published two years after the philosopher's death. In this analysis, we highlight the conceptual triad of knowledge, power and subjectivity, highlighted by Deleuze, and which, according to him, structure and constitute the device of Foucauldian thought. We argue that Deleuze's productions concerning Foucault produce a “double”, a “duplication” that enriches the philosophical debate, once Deleuze does not act as a commentator on Foucault's works, but invents his own Foucault.
