O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar os conceitos de mercadoria, acumulação e trabalho no modo de produção capitalista a partir do manuscrito intitulado Capítulo VI (inédito). Trata-se aqui de categorias que, acima de tudo, são determinações da existência ou formas de pensamento socialmente válidas para relações de produção historicamente determinadas. A economia capitalista pressupõe: 1. a forma-mercadoria, expressão mais elementar da riqueza e unidade entre valor de uso e valor; 2. reprodução em escala ampliada ou crescimento ad infinitum; 3. exploração do trabalho por meio da criação de mais-valor. Através de uma espoliação orgânica cristalizada nas mercadorias, o regime do capital, prescindindo das crises, expande seu limite a cada rotação num movimento que vislumbra o infinito.
