Training in health evaluation: considerations from the undergraduation in collective health

Authors

Abstract

Approaching courses from undergraduate Collective Health programs some aspects related to training in Health Evaluation were analyzed. Twenty-four undergraduate programs of interest were identified on Associação Brasileira de Saúde Coletiva (ABRASCO) web page and the e-MEC system. Eleven programs met the criteria of having course information and respective bibliographic references on the internet, totaling twenty-five courses. By reading the pedagogical projects (PP) and course descriptions (CD) and bibliometric study of the bibliographic references used, predominant authors and works were identified as well as the consideration of the interface of the Evaluation with related areas such as Planning, Management and Information in Health. Based on this information, we discuss possible implications of the findings for advancing the territorialization of training in Health Evaluation and highlight some aspects that we consider important and defensible in approaching Health Evaluation in Brazil.
