Resumen

The process of redemocratization in Brazil encouraged the participation of society, which gathered and claimed respect for human rights. In this context, the situation experienced by disabled people emerged in the political area, demanding an answer from society and from the State. Although there are constitutional and juridical conditions to attend disabled people from the perspective of social inclusion, nowadays, there are still fragments of the wrong way society has historically approached these people.
