Abstract

The theory of praxic intervention in the collective health nursing was thought by the theoretic as an instrument for a praxis changing in the collective health nursing, understood as a social practice. Its framework is the dialetic and historical materialism. The objective of this critical essay was to analyse the theory’s adaptation to the nursing, under the wiew of Barnum (1994) and Chinn & Kramer (1995); as well as its teorical mark. The methodology applied was the critical reading of an book in which the authoress displays her work confronted to the analitic proposes of Barnum and Chin & Kramer in aspects concerned to the adaptation to the nursing and writers and criticals of marxism to analyse the theorical presupposes. It was concluded that the theory has a large application field in collective health and in interdisciplinaries spaces. Its adaptation to the nursing is questioned by the disproportion among its general presupposed and its proposed applicability of the action field.
